Troy Ruffels


Troy lives and works in Tasmania. He is a graduate of the University of Tasmania and the University of Glasgow. His most recent solo exhibitions include Faultlines, Bett Gallery Hobart (2009), Filtered Sky, Taksu Gallery, Singapore (2008), and Night Air, Taksu Gallery, Kuala Lumpur (2007). Ruffels' practice crosses over painting, new media and photography. He has been awarded numerous grants, awards, commissions and residencies including a Samstag Scholarship (2000) and Rimbun Dahan Malaysian Residency(2003). Ruffels currently runs the Photomedia Department at the School of Visual and Performing Arts, University of Tasmania
